Had a chat with Carol this evening. Wow, how time flies, it seems just like yesterday when the both of us are working together, now we us are pursuing our own goals. She's in National University of Singapore, majoring in Mathematics. Cool eh? I will foam in my mouth just by staring at math formulas, kudos to her for majoring in mathematics. Shouldn't have called her a math wiz kid, reminding her of our role play. I was her dad and Anna was her mom. Pretty cute eh?

Another typical day, except for the sudden heavy downfall which disrupted my plan to jog in the evening. Watched Something Gotta Give at the comfort of my bed. It's a fantastic romantic movie! Diane Keaton is so beautiful despite her age. Jack Nicholson, as hilarious as before.

I gonna be a coach potato soon, with a remote control beside me, a cold milo with irish whiskey and Lays potatos (potatos - see the link?). Mischa Barton is so so.... beautiful! She's acting as Marissa Cooper in The OC, gosh, her beauty is beyond description *speechless*.

Gosh, is she an angel or what?

April 29, 2004

Finally got a chance to lay my hands on the Butterfly Effect movie, it was after spending 6 hours to convert the file from an unreadable format (it lag my system like nobody business when playing) into a decent format. I knew about the Chaos Theory before watching this. Frankly speaking, it's rather saddening on the ending, you can't get the best of both worlds and every timeline which Evans travelled just isn't what he expected or wanted. At last, he manage to find the ideal timeline but at the cost of not meeting his sweetheart, but they do have some connection since Kayleigh gave him a double take when she walked past him.

I come into this conclusion that, We cannot have the best of both worlds, in the pursuing of our goal, we have to give up something. A choice to make, a binary choice.

wow, this is Brandon's philosophy. lol.

Went to the Robinson warehouse sales at Singapore Expo today with pop and mom. Mom was telling me how cheap the things were throughout the duration over there. lol. We bought a new cutlery set, mattress cover and toiletries. Marketing at Parkway after our dinner, lots of snacks for me. yeah.

Got the call from the job agency today, I was so excited until she told me it's full time. duh, I thought I stated correctly that I looking for temp?

That's all for today. ta ta.

April 28, 2004

Another unproductive day, suppose to watch Kill Bill: Vol 2 but my friend suggested Walking Tall or Hellboy. Yucks, I will never watch a show staring The Rock (a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson). I hate wrestling, I hate sweaty men fondling each other. I hate WWE. I hate The Rock. period. So I sleep through the whole morning and almost half the afternoon.

Bleah, was waiting for important calls from the job agency and came 2 calls, but non was from the agency. sigh. The first call was from the publishing company asking me to renew my magazine subscription the second was asking me to extend my internet subscription.

Went jogging in the evening, the park was so empty. Kids must be having exams now, hardly sees any.

Might be going out with my pop tomorrow, better than staying at home rotting.

later.

April 27, 2004

I lay myself comfortable on the metal armchair, something cold caressed my mouth with smooth sweeping action, slowly, it's start to vibrate violently in my mouth, and it goes, zaaaaaa zaaaaaaa zaaaaaaa......

Bleah, went to a dentist to clean my teeth. It's a nerve wracking experience, it doesn't help even when the dentist is a friend of your dad. My feet went sraight and I was closing my eyes whenever that tool hit my gum. ouch.

Suppose to get my chickenpox jab, but there was a islandwide shortage according to my doctor. Another 2 or 3 weeks wait before new stock coming in. After getting my teeth fixed, went lunch with mom before going to Supermarket to get fresh groceries.

Boring. later.

April 25, 2004

tsk, the weather is killing me. I'm being slow cooked in my room at 34 degree celeus without the air conditioner switched on. I can hardly imagine myself leaving the comfort of my room tomorrow for my chickenpox jab.

Better get a job soon, dying of boredom.

signed off.
Yeah, examinations over! *dance around*

Econs was fine, especially the last question on union labour. Not going to bored myself on the details becos it's over!

Went Orchard with Jessie, Faith, Michelle, Sharon and Sueie (oh heck, forgotten his name). Dined in at n.y.d.c over at Wheellock Place. Ordered Pig can fly for myself, it's basically spaghetti with bratwurst. The serving is fine, but will appreciate it with more bratwurst, now, where can I get fresh supply of bratwurst? Carrefour? Bleah.

We really have great fun over at n.y.d.c, it's a all girls night, lol. Aye, someone should have bring along a camera. Didn't order any dessert as I am on diet (ya right), well, the rest of them have drink with heavy chocolate syrup (e=mc2) and Manhatten Mudpie, yummy. I will be back next time *evilish grin* Oh did I mention Faith pouring out the cheese onto a spoon and eating it? I know it, she's has weird taste! Last time over at Burger King, she ordered a Taro pie and replaced the taro with chilli, yucks. lol

Parted with them at Cineleisure, they are watching 50 First Dates, nice show, but couldn't join them due to other commitment. Walked to Grand Hyatt Hotel to look for pop and he gave me a lift home.

Lots of thing to do during the holiday, first, take my chickenpox jab. Have a haircut. Go for driving lessons. That's about it. Oh yes, going back to Wheellock to get that Nike T-shirt I been eyeing and maybe that cute Crumpler laptop carrier.

April 24, 2004

Just when you thought all is hopeless, a ray of light comes into your life...

lol, dramatic eh? There's this concept which I just couldn't get in my head, then I remember my sister's economics textbook. Wow, it has everything I need! More than what I need as a matter of fact. This book was passed down from her since she doesn't need that book anymore (Hey, she graduated from university donkey years ago).

It's a good book, should you need it to study Economics go get it, Principles of Economics by N. Gregory Mankiw.

April 23, 2004

2 days to revise, yet I lack the confidence to clear tomorrow paper. Knowing the concepts and applying the concepts are 2 different things, sadly, I lack the latter.

Luck and lots of it. Back to my revision, later.

April 22, 2004

As an active Blogger user, we would like to invite you to be one of the first to try out Google's new email service, Gmail.

My 4th email account, lol. Just register for the fun of it, the idea of someone scanning through my email and displaying targeted advertisement doesn't appeal to me, since it's free, why not? True Singaporean spirit, lol.

Chocolate and more chocolate! Yummy Kit Kat! Thanks dad :)

Back to my revision.

Don't you think it's sweet when you are in the midst of a revision and someone came along and motive you? I was doing my revision for my Business Accounting paper when dad came late at night just to motive me and he bought chocolate too. I study well with snack to go along, and here comes 2 packets of Bueno. Ah, don't I sound like a little boy in need of a little affection?

Wow, this must be one of the easiest Business Accounting paper! Everything is within my expectation, I hardly practice it just concentrate on the reading part. Business Statistics was easy, Business Accounting was easy too. Keeping my finger crossed for microeconomics. 2 days to digest all the theories, hope all goes well.

Is the station trying to stir up controversy? The reporter's lack of tact in asking question really disgust me. Given the severity of this accident and the feeling of the family's member, they should be more tactful in asking questions. Oh well, maybe I am too sensitive.

Really pray hard for the 3 missing persons in the Nicoll Highway disaster, been more than 24 hours since the collapse.

After the last paper, what am I going to do? I can't possibly be a coach potato and waste my 2 months away like this? Bleah, maybe I will devote 2 months for my driving.

I think it's kinda scary on the collapse of the Nicoll Highway. I just watch the news cover up on the accident. 3 persons missing with no confirmation on their status. Their families are crying on the news, it's a rather saddening sight.

This is the worst disaster after Hotel New World. I just want to help out but there's nothing I can do, nor what help I can offer.

Nothing we can do now except to pray for the safety of the 3 missing persons.
I was fondling with the remote control of the air conditioner in my bed after a short revision, when I suddenly realize that task automation is so useful in our daily life.

I was setting the air conditioner to switch on and off at a preset timing when I have this thought. How many trees/natural gases/coal can we save when we conserve the energy and using it efficiently. In another scenario, my computer can wake itself up, log on to Windows, download songs and shutdown after completing the assigned task at a few clicks of the mouse all thanks to the wonderful BIOS (chip) and download manager.

Just bringing up the conservationist in me.

P.S.: No remote control was harmed in the typing of this entry.

Was studying in my room when I saw the news flash over Channel News Asia on the Nicoll Highway collapse. The first thing I do was to call my sister and my friend. My sister working at the office tower near Suntec while my friend stays a few roads away from the accident site. Fwah, the crater was big when I view it on television.

Went for a jog just now, now gonna study for my accounting. later.

April 19, 2004

My mom and pop mobilized for my exams today, lol. Mom got me out of bed a few hours before the paper while dad called me on my cellphone when I was having breakfast, reminding me whether did I bring the necessary stationery. Made my own breakfast today, egg tart, tea and chicken essence, potent stuff eh?

Today business statistics was definitely managable. Except for one careless mistake, where I applied the wrong formula (bah, 5 marks question). Didn't fell for the evil paper setter's trick. Thing is looking on the bright side now. Simply overjoyed., la la.

Went for lunch with Jesslyn, Noi, Faith and Nadia over at Design. Treated myself a steak for my own achievement, hey, I only have it for special occasion, remember the last time was IISO presentation. Noi was saying that I will be a policeman during my national service. Speaking of national service,I really dread towards the arrival of my enlistment, but then, it's serving the nation. We also talked about the ozone layer, LOL!

Why does all the shows seems so interesting when you are having exams? I can't believe I actually give up my revision on last friday watching Big Trouble in Little Chinatown. Was watching a chinese serial on Katong Laska just now, it's kinda interesting, airing every night during the weekdays, hope doesn't affect my studies ya?

Took a long nap from the afternoon until now. Bursting with strength now, maybe I should start on my Business Accounting revision. later.

Finally settled down after clearing the mess from my table. Unimportant notes from last semester, letters, leftlets, down you go to the dustbin.

Sisters back as usual. Fwah, the photographs she took with my brother-in-law is simply amazing. Can't post it here since I don't have a copy of it. They took a picture of Japanese schoolgirls for me, specially for me they said. I don't really admire japanese girls, just neutral feeling. Most of my friends simply go ga ga over them, reasons? beats me.

Lots of foodstuff for me, there's this sponge cake with whole banana in it, this is good stuff.

Still waiting for my other sister to print her photographs from the digital camera. Don't really expect any amazing sight, Hong Kong, isn't that just another version of Singapore? Didn't take the camera from her since I know I will be playing with it and abandon my studies.

Having a headache now and I run out of medicine, can hardly do the questions in my Business Statistics book. It's going on and off, went to search for panadol, but what's left is the empty box. Rotten luck, zzz.

Back to my studies, 2 more chapters before one overall revision and I going to sleep. Wish me luck for tomorrow paper.

later.
Doubt I will do well for Monday paper. Tried to settle down to do my business statistics, but after flipping through the notes, I get bored. It's an open book exams, so I don't have that "feeling" of fear for not memorizing anything. After all, it's just formulas. I hate mathematics although I did quite well for my O. Can you believe it? I study mathematics by reading it instead of practising it.

Downloaded Jamie Cullum album, he's another cutie! It's pop infused with jazz with most of his songs being slow, easy to listen. As usual, if you need to sample any of his songs, pass me a msg and I'll send ya? But don't expect me to send the whole album, it's like 200mb?

Received my paycheck few days ago, which reminds me that I need to get a job during the holiday. Don't feel good living off my parents, they paying for my education, my driving lessons, aye, I can just go on and on and on.

Back to my business statistics, later.

The end of the semester today, nothing out of the blue happened. Skipped Business Accounting revision lecture as I thought I need the extra sleep. Tutor told us our grade for our econs coursework, happy for myself since it's reflect truly on the effort I put in for the project and class participation.

Well, the class having a celebration for Beaven birthday, I'm not the least surprise that we are not invited since we just know them like, 3 months (excluding weekends)?

Found a private driving instructor over the internet, starting my lesson the week after my exams. Actually was deciding whether to call the instructor that Jackson recommended or search for one myself, made up my mind on the latter. Looking forward to my driving lessons and of course, my driving licence.

Why does people always think that it's always the other party at fault when the fault lies in themselves and no one else? There's a part in Psychology explaining about such reward claiming-blame pushing behaviour, if only they could just think rationally. I am sad that it has to come to such an ending. You have no one to blame, but yourself.

Time to find a new route, jogged in the evening but felt that I hardly stressed up my body. Got my bottles of chicken essence ready for the endless nights I'll be going through for revision. Sigh, why deprive us of our study week?

Darn, missed The OC. Was listening to Maksim on bed doing my homework. His music is so captivating (not boring) that I just fall asleep.

This is crappy, going back to my work.

April 15, 2004

Today marks the end of my psychology, only presentation by the last group, that's all. Dragged by Vanessa to join her, Jiaxiang and Kerrie for lunch. I think all 4 of us clicked quite well, each from different courses (Hospitality, Mass Comm, Accounting and Finance and BiT), cool eh?

Parted with Vanessa at the bus stop before hoping on the same bus with Kerrie to Century Square. She's joining her sister for haircut while I am on my way to search for Maksim Mrvica album. Chatted with her on our courses and overseas attachment. While walking towards Century Square, got stopped by salesman again. Not insurance, not donation but food coupon. Bleah, not going to get conned again.

YEAH! I BOUGHT MAKSIM MRVICA ALBUM! I thought it's sold at those large CD retail stores, manage to get it from Sembawang Music. His music is mesmerizing, especially Exodus. He's handsome too!

fwah! He rocks.

Going back to my work. ta ta.

April 14, 2004

Glad that Ivan's birthday celebration was called off (no pun intended). I just realize that I have so many things to do and time is running short for me. Thought I could divert my attention to my psychology journal in the afternoon but turn up that my desktop and laptop got infected with a never-say-die popup. Spent a hour or so to clear up the mess and set my system to prevent such shit from happening. Thought everything was over? No. My shoutbox smiley disappeared. Another one hour to fix it.

My peers are spending 4 hours daily in school to revise. Which reminds me that I have to start on my revision right after I finish my kaya toast (Ya Kun Kaya Paste, good stuff yea?) and tea. In fact, I am typing this paragraph in the kitchen with the humming of the oven and the smooth music of Maksim Mrvica.

Journal completed, no tutorial work to discuss tomorrow, time for some serious revision. Can hardly remember any stuff from the book 1 of Business Statistics. My friend said it's easy, he must be joking. This semseter fell so different from last semseter, the mood isn't right, I can't get myself down to read my notes. Is this going to be the end of my As? How am I going to answer the perfectionist in me?

This is dumb, my year 2 semester 2 starts early december, what the hell? Spending my wonderful december in school? Who's silly idea is that? Just because they want to let those O level takers to enter Poly straight after their result, they going to deprive us of our December? I bet they will prefer starting their poly life in July. Oh well, guess I have to resign to fate.

Added a new section, Current craze at the rght. It's going to be where I update my current music craze.

Okie, going to keep blogging to a minimum for this and next week in preparation for the mind boggling papers.
Can't imagine it, I actually fall asleep while doing my image documentation. I don't remember what happened, one moment I was happily doing my image documentation, the other moment, I was in bed with my laptop still on. Goodness, the submission is in the afternoon, still able to rush it now in the wee hours of the morning, 4am. Ahh, suppose to send in the script to my group members. *launch his email client*

Tuned in to chinese radio while getting my work done. Been awhile since I was back listening to chinese radio during my secondary school days. The radio is usually switched on until I wake up and prepare for school. Had this habit of listening to music before drifting to dreamland. Chinese songs always reminds me of secondary school and love. There's quite a handful of good singers in my class, perhaps this the reason for associating them with chinese songs.

Bah, my chinese still sucks.

Received a new friendster testimonial. It's those heart shape thingy saying Friends forever. I am grateful that people actually bother to add me a testimonial. But I expect something like true about myself, not those heart shape thingy which evolved from the sms-chain. Isn't that what testimonials are for? Approved that testimonial anyway. Just a little thought.

Presented my website to Andrew today. Quite happy at the result of countless sleepless nights. During the presentation, instead of him waiting for him to ask me questions, I present the whole website to him, explaining each minor details. More or less predicted what he's going to ask from the eariler presentation by my classmates. At the end, he said something like "very pro website", was quite elated.

Communication skills role playing didn't go quite well for my group. I believe it's due to our scripted speech. It's kinda hard to develop following a script blindly, everyone's waiting for cue to talk, no chance to interrupt or raise up any issue. Anyway, we still manage to get a pass grade for this. Hopefully, an overall pass for the subject.

Oh no, I am falling in love with him - Maksim Mrvica. Average pianist hyped up by advertisement, but his music is so enchanting, especially Rhapsody on Theme of Paganini. The way he play the piano is quite amazing, although I wonder whether is it hyped up with effects. Can't stand this madness anymore, I am going to make a trip down to HMV tomorrow.

Both my sisters back from overseas. Guess what one of my sister got for me? A Pierre Cardin wallet with a matching leather keyholder! Finally a new wallet to replace my ageing and rotting Guy Laroche wallet (It's given by her too). Not much of a use for the keyholder, but it sure fits in well with a shiny car key after getting my driving licence. There's more than the wallet, there's lao po bin (Wife cookies, literally) and snacks which you can find in Hong Kong. Bleah, waiting for the arrival of the other sister who went Japan.

Went jogging in the late evening. Was jogging towards the exercise corner of the park, I saw exercise of the other sort, involving the lashing movement of the tongues. A young couple around my age was making out in the park. Gosh. They thought it's dark at night and no one will come to the park, well, apparently not. I don't whether to approach the pull up bar and continue my exercise or turn back. Didn't really want to make a waste trip, so I went a distance away and start doing push up. I think they noticed my presence and stopped their showing of passion. Started to act normal, doing exercise chatting. zzz. Went to the pull up bar and did a few before jogging off. What a place to make out, never in a park for me.

2 days more before the start of the exams and the end of the class. Not that I hate my classmates or what, I just think that we are being left out for some reason or so. It seems that we are given the cold treatment and after much pondering, I manage to come out with a logical explanation which prove to be as accurate as e = mc2 and Newton's law of gravity. Endure! It's just 2 days more! Hmm, maybe it's an overstatement, not everyone treated me/us coldly, there's friendly dudes like Carebear, Jackson and Gareth. Maybe I was too harsh and unclear in my expression, it has somehow broken my friendship with another fine dude.

Psychology journal. sigh.

April 12, 2004

Scared out of my life today. My friend who's suppose to upload my edited project to the server before the 9 am deadline told me he couldn't log in my account. I was like, OH NO! It's too late for me to rush to school. After trying a few times, he manage to upload mine.

Heh, went snooping on others' projects after lecture. Was with Jesslyn, Ivan and Chan Hui to check whether our websites works, got this wacky idea to snoop on others. Only left with the presentation tomorrow and I can forget everything about networked multimedia.

Majority of my classmates are wearing formal for tomorrow presentation. Great. Proposed it to my group and a few of them think otherwise. It's the last time we having presentation as a class, I thought it will be great to have everyone dressed up smartly and take pictures together, just like what last semseter class. Sigh.

Today was a rather long day, daydreaming during business statistics tutorial and lecture. Can hardly remember what the tutor and lecturer are talking about. Guess I will have to attend this saturday lecture.

Went jogging to sweat myself out in the evening. Can't believe I continue jogging without taking a break. Was feeling so tired in the afternoon and couldn't focus during lesson. When I reached home, I still find myself game enough to jog a few km more. But the thought of the image documentation due tomorrow kept me from going on.

Bleah, time to get back to my work.

April 11, 2004

Spent a tranquil sunday afternoon alone. Woke up in the late afternoon, took a shower before making my own lunch. Rice dumpling with english tea, east meets west or what?

Listened to Maksim Mrvica mp3s with my lunch. His music is a mix of classical pieces with a hint of techno. Hmm... doesn't that reminds me of Vanessa Mae? Looking forward to listen to his Frederic Chopin's piece, but can hardly find any from p2p network. Ahh, time to plan a trip down to HMV.

Read today's Newpaper, feeling real upset over it. Those chinese calling us singaporeans stupid and said our brains are fed with pigswell, fat, no intelligence and feel complacent even though we've only accomplished something small. So what in the world are they studying in Singapore with most of their lecturers being singaporeans? It takes a fool to call others a fool. period.

Oh my god, I am so dead. Just found out that my website exceed the 5MB limit! I didn't realize that until I check my thumb drive. Gosh. That stupid audio file is the cause of it, forgotten to compress it to mp3 format. Got to wake up early tomorrow to upload again.

Just found out my order will be delayed. URGH, thought I could receive it by this week, been informed that it shipping might get delayed for 2 weeks.

Opps! Just realized that I did not provide a userid/password for my website. It's guest/guest. No cap/no full stop after the guest. The website is here. Do give your comments through my tagboard.
Got to do my image documentation. ta ta.
Asked one guy from my this group of friends whether is he interested in joining a Kelong trip organised by the school. Pretty much of a lukewarm response. Give me a silly reply that he's on diet. What the heck? On diet means you can't go for such trips? Why don't he just skip his 3 meals daily? It's so contradicting from his daily lifestyle. Bah! Guess I will have to look elsewhere from my social circle.

The communication skills test was, *speechless*. I got most of the essential stuff mixed up, but I reckon I will get a pass grade for this. During the test, I was freezing in the lecture hall and wearing just a thin shirt plus a three-quarter pants doesn't help to shield me from the cold air blowing above me.

After the test, went straight to Business school to do the final touchup to my project and upload it. Gosh, the Business IT lab was in a state of disrepair. Keyboard that doesn't input, computer that doesn't log in to school network and doesn't recognise my friend's USB thumb drive. Did the linking part and uploaded the whole website to the server. Woah, I was so glad that this whole torment is finally over, no more late nights.

Went for lunch with Jesslyn, Ivan, Vector and Willy. Damn, on the way to Burger King, 3 of us, Jess, Ivan and me were pestered by this middle age indian guy. He's trying to force us to buy his donation tix. He was saying, "see, I got this police permit... blah blah blah, you know just now there's this lady who stays in a 1 room flat donated $50... blah blah blah..." yada yada. Whole lot of crap. That police permit is needed for soliciting donation, duh. I bet he earn commission from all these donation tix thingy. Tricked us into buying 5 tix, wth. Seriously, I have no problem with donating to charity organisations but not to those earning commission. Yucks, it makes me feel mad thinking that our money is spent on satisfying that indian guy beer crave. Bet he is one of those typical indian drinking beers at your nearby coffeeshop and abusing his wife.

Shared light hearted moment with the group over lunch at Burger King. I was laughing myself crazy at all the crap we were coming up with. That part about birth control through jabbing, koropok and taofu is sure hilarious!

Went shopping with Ivan after the rest of them went home. He bought a real cool denim sling bag over at 77th Street. Over at Isatan, a billabong shirt gotmy attention, but the small size doesn't suit me. Darn. I promise myself I will go for a shopping spree after the exams. Ahh, so looking forward to it.

Was invited to Easter Celebration by Jesslyn. Thanks alot, really appreciate it, but couldn't make it. Don't blame me, ya?

Aye, stop calling me ruby.

As promised, my website is uploaded to my server. Do give your comment.

April 10, 2004

Did my networked multimedia project since the afternoon, in fact, right now, I am still doing some touching up. If my mom see the state of my room now, she gonna nag at me. Yesterday newspapers on the floor, books related to London lying messily on my desk. I think will finish up everything on my laptop tomorrow after my communication skills test. Which reminds me that, I have not read through the notes for the test. AGGRH.

Great, both my sisters departed for Hong Kong and Japan, leaving their little brother struggling at home with his project. But come to think of the reward, I think it's worthwhile. My sister got a new digital camera just for the Hong Kong trip, gosh. She got it yesterday after seeking my advice. It's a Canon A80, which is on my wish list (read: something you wish, real hard for). But hey, I benefit from her purchase, she told me she will be leaving in my care after her Hong Kong trip. *dance around happily*

Will be uploading my Networked Multimedia project soon. For all the curious readers, I be posting the website address soon, keep a lookup for it ya? Seriously, I think it look kinda sucky, hope I can at least be graded a B for it. Don't want to leave a dent in my record for IT subjects.

April 09, 2004

Just got back home from the movie outing with the gang. Watched Hellboy at Plaza Singapura, nothing much to praise about, average movie in my opinion. I don't know how the AXS machine works, only used it a few times to settle traffic fine, pay bills and collect movie tickets which I booked online. The gang bought 6 tix on the 8th April 2004, 1245 Hr, but we are watching it on Good Fridat, 9th April 2004, 0030 Hr. I doubt they check the receipt after paying up. Boy, everyone was taken in for a ride when the tix guy told us it's the wrong tix. Went to the counter and explain our situation, nothing much they manage can offer, either take the front row or forfeit, no refund will be granted. Between this two, of course we choose the former, wasting $45 doesn't sound any better.

The whole gang actually prepared a sleepover at one of the guy's house. There's alcohol, poker cards etc. If its those normal alcoholic beverage, I might consider, what hey, they drinking red wine? This is gross, I never drink red wine like this without any proper meal. Fancy wasting a 1994 Elderton like this. Another reason for not sleeping over is my networked multimedia project and communication skills test on saturday. Got to rush everything by tomorrow night, finish up the project, study for the test and tuck in early.

Sandra surprise me totally today. I thought I was going to be so dead for being late like 15min for her class. Blame it on the traffic congestion, no matter how early I wake up, the congestion is always there to spoil my day. Entered the classroom, and there she goes, "Ahh, Brandon. Should I give you the benefit of doubt... blah blah blah". I thought she will just ask me to attend the other tutorial, but hey, she didn't mark me late or absent. Passed my business accounting 2 coursework, great eh?

Psychology presentation was a disaster. Being my turn to present, I was talking trash, I didnt even know what I am talking about. I trying to keep a balance between loudness and logical presenting. I tend to speak softly when I am talking trash. During the Question and Answer, I was trashing again. "So do you think attachment is effective in this commerical?" I replied, "As you know theory is not a one size fits all. Also, the human brain itself is a paradox, it really depends on the mindset of the individual and how they intepret it." After talking so much crap, she said, "so is it effective or not?" URGH. I think everyone isn't prepared to answer questions, seems like only Vanessa is doing the talking. Anyway, this concluded the whole psychology subject, just the journal and I am done.

Went jogging in the evening, somehow, sprained my neck. Hurts alot when I try turning to my right. Sitting in the front row doesn't help in easing it, instead, I am having problem turning to the left. Hope it's gone when I wake up. ta ta.

April 07, 2004

A day free from lectures and tutorials, but still have to return to school for my project discussion. Went for lunch with pop before driving me to school. Went through the psychology slides with Vanessa. My psychology presentation is tomorrow and I am not even prepared yet. Guess I will have to tuck in late tonight.

Pop and mom picked me up from school and off we got for dinner at Serangoon Garden. This place reminds me of Holland Village, just like a tiny little town of its own style. Great food at decent price, nothing beats the hell outta it.

The lady who lost her cellphone called me during dinner, decided to the timing to meet. Met her at the bus stop, she's a petite young lady, doesn't look like someone who is working, more like a poly student. Went to her and ask, "are you the one?" (sounds like a line off from The Matrix eh?). I'm not psycho to know exactly she's the one, just that she told me what's she wearing during my dinner. This scene completely surprised me, she bow down and said Thank you before giving me a paper bag. Uh, just like a scene out of a Japanese drama. I told her the gift isn't necessary, but she told me it's a must. No choice, I just accept it and bid her farewell. Walked back home, discovered a box of chocolate and a evelope. On the evelope, it's says, "To Brendon, thanks for returning my handphone, really appreciate it. God bless you". To my surprise, there's money inside the evelope!

I am not the type of person who except a reward for returning stuff, so naturally, I dash out of my house and went toward the direction which I last saw her. Didn't manage to find her. Contacted her on her cellphone, she told me it's a reward for returning the phone to her. I told her the chocolate is enough, but she insist on giving me the money. Since she stay near my house, I believe there's one day we will meet again, I will return the money to her. Till then.

Received a weird call this afternoon. Picked up my cellphone and over the other end, "Hi, may I speak to Yamashita-san?" I was like, uh? what the? No one know my alias, nor anyone address me by that. Replied yes, I am blah blah blah, what is it regarding blah blah blah. Finally know what's the overseas call is about, to check up on my card billing address for the garget I ordered. wee, hope to get it by this week.

I think comm skills is totally screwed up. Role play without dressing up? I can hardly imagine executives in the real world wearing surfer's shorts and a T shirt attending meeting. This is a role play for goodness sake! How can we do without formal wear! Others are jealous of my class having a role play without formal wear, for me, I am jealous of them having to wear formally! I don't care, give me back my formal wear! Maybe, somehow, perhaps, I could ask my group to wear formally? Maybe they will just agree to it. But wait, that Nigel won't agree to it. AGGRH!

Work work work, ta ta.
A taxi driver shared his life experience with me today. How to bring up your family, the ways of life. I tried to pay attention, don't wanna make myself appear rude to him by ignoring him. But it's hard to focus when I am holding on to my friend's project and he's suppose to give a presentation to the tutor. This new tutor seems to be a little eccentric. My classmate besides me was surfing Friendster when he approaches and ask him to give the presentation. He saw the screen and his eyes glared, "KILL IT! QUICK! kILL IT! CLOSE THE BROSWER! KILL IT! DON'T TRY TO FOOL WITH ME!". uH. I was like stunned by his reaction. weirdo.

Was embarrassed totally during today Comm skills tutorial. That imbecile member of my group did not submit his due to the tutor. "Your group is the only group that has not submit that blah blah blah". It's alright if she just say that in general, like, some group did not hand in their work. But hey, she's pinpointing us! That jerk got us enmeshed in this mess, if he don't know how to do it, at least do a search on the internet. What's more difficult than typing "Minute of meeting" in Google or AltaVista? Worse come to worse, just tell us he doesn't have the IQ to do it, we can just do it by ourselves and submit it before the deadline. Pray hard this got to be the last time I working with slackers.

Went for my course interest group. The reason they gave for choosing us was pretty lame. They choose us just because we want to enter university? Nonsensical. I bet majority of the students want to enter university. Hey wait, when did I tell them I want to enter university? I don't remember filling up any form on planning my future? Unless they have been reading my blog, which is like, *sings* it's one in a million la la la. I smell something sinister going on. We got to choose what position we wish to be in, mainly, chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary, treasurer, sports committee and the cleaning guy. Frankly speaking, the secretary job interest me, but it was until the tutor said, "we seldom have meetings, so seldom the secretary got a chance to write minute". I don't like to be treasurer nor am I sporty enough to be in the sport committee. Naturally, I was left with chairperson or vice chairperson. Between this two, I select the latter. Should I get elected, I will remove the evil LAN gaming event and impose a 6 days study week. *evilish laughter*

Went marketing with mom after I got home. Got a few snacks for war ration. War against what? Examinations. Seems to be some food festival going on, we got Thai "poppiah", noya kuah (the cute little green balls with gula malacca), Thai desserts. Yummy.

That girl who lost her cellphone contacted me today. She wanted to meet me to collect back but at the last minute, she cancelled as she's working late. Was wondering should I just deliver it to her house since she claimed she staying around my area. On a second thought, decided not to. Lazy and wanna start on my Networked Multimedia project.

Alright, time to get my browser off from blogger.com.

April 06, 2004

Did some changes to the blogskin, removed the pictures that come with this blogskin and replaced it with my pictures taken at Australia by my family. Cool eh?

Today concluded the last lectures for economics and business statistics, which means, the approaching of the exams. Not something I look forward to, but the at the end of it, I got to enjoy 2 months of holiday. Not a bad trade off for 1 week of hell in exchange for 2 months of heavenly joy, provided I do not have to sit for the sup papers. Didn't sit for any for the last semester and I hope to keep the record this way.

Got my name listed in the BIT Interest Group. I suppose no one is interested and in their quest to replace the committee, they decided to shortlist the students. Thought it should be more of a volunteering thing. It seems interesting, I might give it a try. Should I get in the committee, the first thing I do is, propose a motion to remove LAN gaming as a course activity and impose a monthly tax of $2 as a tribute to the interest group. *evil*

Like a forgotten toy, it awaits the arrival of its master to devise its will on her. Before you pick up the phone and report me to the police, I am actually referring to my Hewlett Packard scanner. Finally, I decided to use it. Ripped the box and plastic off, and ta ta, a brand new scanner. Using with my laptop to scan some images for my networked multimedia project.

It hurts me to think that, I was in the dark all along when I treated that person no less than what I treat my other friends. The truth was withheld from me alone. I ponder along, thinking what did I do to deserve such ostracism. After much thought about it, I don't think I deserve such treatment. "Do not do unto others as you expect they should
do unto you", since she has decided to forgo the friendship, I shall do the same. Vengeful, I am.

On the way to school from home today, found a cellphone at the bus stop. Picked it up and called up someone from the phonebook, telling her that the owner of the cellphone lost it. This reminds me of someone, who lost her cellphone not once but twice, but no kind soul returned it to her, they just switched it off and God knows what happened next.

Back to my project. la la.

April 05, 2004

Been procrastinating my networked multimedia project for awhile. Gonna work on it and get it done by this thursday. I'm still brainstorming on the main page. Not so worried on the content, as I can easily extract from the books. Psychology presentation, communication skills test and also my networked multimedia this week, this week gonna be a mad rush. In fact, almost every week is a mad rush.

Realized that, how wonderful life is, with photos. Vivid papers depicting wonderful moments. Should I get a digital camera or stay put with my film SLR? Should I go digital, small and compact or huge and features packed? I really hope for a pwoerful digital camera with all the bells and whistles but easily carried around in my messenger bag. I envy my overseas friends who always carry a camera around, snapping shots at every single outings.

Speaking of photos, Ricky, that friendly bloke in Perth sent me another picture of his car just in time for me to publish.

Jealousy overwhelmed me

I don't know whether has this been bought up by me before, but this MSN demeanor has been bothering me lately.

When someone message me, it's quite disturbing when they don't state their intention and just wait for you to reply. It's not like I am away or busy. Someone messaged me today and say a hi. His wonderful reply after I replied, "nothing". Hey, what wrong with you? I know you wanna be friendly but this is definitely not being friendly but annoying.

Some wonderful people actually disconnect and reconnect to reflect their nick. Once or twice is enough. Your internet connection is faulty is fine. You installed a new MSN client is okie. But it's abnormal to do it every 2 to 3 minutes! It's not like you are using some dialup that disconnect spontaneously. Even if it does, I think it's pure madness to let this go on without notifying your Internet Service Provider. To some extent, I almost wanted to give that person a piece of my mind.

`nuff said. Going back to my work.

How's the design of the blog? Spent the whole morning on it. Prefer this or the former one? Give your comment in my taggie. :p

The Bonkers, something like amazing race, was fun! Maybe for some part like, acting like a fool, walking around esplanade looking for people with mobile number starting with 94 and getting some sarcastic remarks from a retailer. I swear that I will give the retailer hell the next time I am there. In the end, didn't get any award. We have no experience in this. We have given in our best. We have no regrets. Sounds familiar? Hmmm...

Started the whole race at CCK Park, imagine the journey from Tampines to the other end of Singapore. fwah. Luckily the bus travels through the expressway. The most corniest group member award goes to *drums rolling* .... Faith! She sure express herself well at CCK Park, should have bought along a video cam and record how she shows banana woman. la la la. Didn't realize our camera was lost until we reached Fuji Ice Palace, nevertheless, we overcame this through determination... hmm... on second thought, should be monetary means. Over at the Padang, I was thinking about this crazy thought, how about a photography trip during the day after my exams? The weather was superb for photo-taking, not sunny but overcast.

The last stop was Tampines, the home of the Tampines Rovers. Drop by the photo development shop to develop our photos. I was shocked when the staff took off the cover before winding up the film. Luckily its covered or else, all our effort will be in vain. While waiting, we went Burger King for our lunch. Oh man, I swear this will be the last time I am going to lunch with Faith, haha. Everyone was like, "WTF, what you doing?!?" when she rip open the Taro pie and scrap off the Taro paste. If this isn't worse, she applied cream and chilli sauce over the poor pie. Yucks, this is so freaking gross.

Eee, my hair went out of place in the photos and everyone sure have a good laugh eh? Obviously in one photo I was looking else where and they thought I was trying to give some wierd expression. I gonna burn all the photos *evil*.

Anyway, kudos to Sharon's group for getting bronze-plated medals. After all this, I think giving up my sleep is worthy of all these fun.

Went home by taxi as I was too exhausted after the race. Wanted to take a shower and just cuddle up in bed. But looking at the state of my shoes, decided to give it a good wash. Bleah, it's as clean as before. Took a 2 hours nap before pop came home with my dinner.

Gonna rush my work now. Took a 2 weeks break for my examinations' preparation, aye, this reminds me it's coming down hard on me 2 weeks later.

It's the first anniversary for Leslie Cheung, changed my background music in memory of him. Rest in peace.

Wow, one of the only few times I am early for Business Accounting lecture. Amazing, I thought I would be caught in the traffic jam again but today traffic was smooth, travelling was a breeze. This is crappy, the lecturer said that cash flow statement was moved to the front from the back of the syllabus since it's the hardest. But did they realize that it's the third chapters before our examination? This is the hardest and the only chapter that contain the highest mark in the paper, oh great.

Went down to City Hall to meet up with my friend to collect my lens. It's a Sigma 24mm wide angle lens for Minolta which I loan it to him for his Australia trip. We go separate ways after he passed the lens to me. Sigh, school is taking so much of my leisure away. Sill remember I can just plan a shooting trip without hesitating. Now? I have to check my schedule thoroughly before committing myself. The last trip was to Chinatown, the photos are.... hey, wait, oh no, I haven't develop it. ahhhh, see what I mean?

Went Gramphone since I am around the town area. They specialize in high grade audio/video discs. Bought The Corrs - In Blue DVD-AUDIO over there, the sound is incrediblely smooth and clear, really beats the hell outta analog CD. Guess what? I manage to find Rebecca Pidgeon audio CD! But this isn't what I want, they are selling the compilation not Raven which I am looking for. But heck, they have the songs I want. On closer inspection, found out that this isn't any normal CD, it's a SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc). If it's played on a SACD player, the sound will be on par with DVD-AUDIO. okie, enough of the jargon. So the bottom line is, I bought the disc. :)

Rebecca Pidgeon - this poorly scanned image which I ripped from the internet does her no justice

The moment I step out of the bus, it started to rain cat and dog. What luck. At least I choose the correct bag today, my Deuter backpack has a waterproof pod thar covers the entire bag, cool eh? Mom called me up to tell me the weather condition, not realizing that I am actually at the bus stop. She offered to fetch me home, ahhh, awseome.

Went to meet Jesslyn and Sharon for the movie - Passion of Christ. I reached but decided not to meet Jesslyn and her friends as I am not the type of person that communicate easily. Went to the nearby CD shop and browse around. In the end, I give in and decided to meet them, nothing much to see around Cineleisure. Her friends are friendly, I initially thought that I be sitting there stoning, but they make me feel rather welcome.

The ticket for Passion of Christ - The Holy Grail

Didn't manage to catch the first few minutes of the show, then some inconsiderate jerks took our seats. What the hell? If I know it earlier, I will just ask them to get their arse off or I call the staff in. According to Sharon, they said their seats were taken so they took ours. What nonsense, really illogical, people took your seats doesn't mean you can do the same to others. zzz.

The movie is speechlessly superb, the effects were gruesome, no wonder it's rated M-18. The scene where the romans crucify Him was extremely gross, imagine the pain of having a nail driven through your palms and legs, fresh blood splashing and dropping from the end of the nails. I did notice that little mushroom head besides me hiding her head in fear. Didn't really hide my head away as I am more or less have a higher threshold for such bloody scenes. It's really a nice show, perhaps a little draggy.

After "supper", we went on separate ways, took a bus to Bugis and meet my dad there. It's a free ride home again. la la.

Having Bonkers event in the morning, gonna tuck in early. sigh, a good saturday wasted.

April 01, 2004

So some people interpreted my blog entry wrongly and thought that I am launching a personal attack against him. Let me clarify myself, firstly, if you have READ CAREFULLY, I was referring to the guy who was looking at his friends' list in Friendster and the guy who was making those lewd remarks. It's kinda obvious that I am not referring to him but apparently, he thought I was. So that "he" starts to hurl some personal insult against me, calling me a spec quiet nerd who looks like a rapist and act smart, to top it all, a show off. When people make such comment, they should have this in mind, "The pot calling the kettle black". Firstly, he himself wear a glasses, secondly, he himself is a nerd if I was to judge by his face? No pun intended, but he himself is also those quiet quiet type that keep everything to himself, does that make him a rapist? Wow, this sure makes a good cognitive motivation theory.

I don't know why, but I hate it when someone judges others by their looks rather than behaviour. So does wearing a glasses and behave like a quiet decent gentleman = rapist? He has all the features he described of me, but why doesn't that make him a rapist? Gee, this isn't like some newton theory. If you are not happy with what you are reading, I guess you should just remove my blog from your links and stop reading it altogether. I try to make my blog as true as it is, unlike the real me in real life (wow, it's rhythm eh?), I try not to self censorship my blog as it serves no purpose in blogging, that course, I could hurt others when I am frank in my statement. But for this situation, it just doesn't link, it's not even describing him.

Trust me, this was my third attempt at typing this. The first attempt was a 3 paragraphs with strong language included. The second attempt was a 6 paragraphs with sarcasm. Well, at least I make several attempts to think, some just shoot without prior knowledge.

Edited: Everything resolved. Bygones be bygones.

Today psychology presentation was fun! First of all, everyone in the class was having a hard time finding the room. We were searching the whole school of IT and Applied Science. Then we occupied the whole lift together, Jiaxiang and Garett sure have some gay fun together. LOL. This week isn't our turn yet, so we have the benefit to shoot them with questions. The 2 groups are at our mercy, my group was trying to come out with the hardest questions and they sure have some "fun" answering our questions. Jiaxiang's friend who's from hospitality is another fun kid on the block. She was explaining about her course during one of the break and we just make jokes out of everything she said. Our psychology classes will end soon, just when I got to familiarize with everyone. sigh.

Gonna do some last minute touchup on my econs. ta ta.
