Black Wednesday

I'm just soooo tired. If not for dad, I probably will be late for school. Today just isn't my day. Rushed to school in dad's car, forgetting my Hospitality and ORDB notes. Thanks to Jess and Tian Nee for getting a copy for me before the Hospiality lecture.

I felt lousy today, as if everyone's against you. Mr. Phua whatever his name is, called me up on the Interest Group, most likely it's regarding the executive committee thing. Personally, the committee should have been formed before the school starts, while other interest groups have started selling books to the freshmen, the BIT is nowhere to be seen.

Joined Yasmeen's group for ORDB. A much better decision than joining some strangers and regretting later. Make a new friend with this girl from my group, oh no, what's her name again?

That's all for today, going to tuck in early, having one super early lecture the next day. *sigh*

June 29, 2004

I'm not sure how am I going to get a credit for my Princples of Management. My first impression of my the 3 guys in my group are, slackers. Subject to changes though.

Love having tutorials in lab. Bored? No problem, the workstation is just a few distance away. The command prompt is just a few clicks away for you to send a message to your tutorial mates in the same lab. Garrett, my ex psychology group member is in my E-Business Management group. I do hope his performance will be much better than the tme we were in Psychology.

Rushed off to catch Ricky's flight. Suppose to be a group send him off, turn up to be me alone. Had a chat with him over coffee at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Also took a photo with him for keepsake.

Always have a special feeling for the Airport, don't ask me why, I'm just plain weird. Explore around for a couple of minutes before a bus ride home. The journey home was quite an adventure, intimate details. :p

Will be posting the pictures during the weekend, meanwhile, gonna rush my tutorials.

lack of sleep + lousy weather = accelerated ageing process

Legal Studies was interesting, studied on the Parliament structure and a little of basic law. It's quite weird to have this subject taught in the computer lab. Almost fall asleep during Principles of Management lecture, the lecturer was trying to bring life to the subject, nevertheless, it does not really interest me. Need to put in extra effort to get a credit for this.

Headed to the Mall with Michelle and gang to get Nadia a birthday cake. Almost everyone was there to celebrate her birthday and we even did some silly cheers in the business canteen, I bet everyone was staring at us!

The weather is incredible lousy, with haze from Indonesia and the unfriendly warm temperature, I was sweating in an air-con bus! I think I need to wear an addition shirt inside.

Joined Ricky and gang for the farewell dinner. He's going back Australia the next day. I'm quite honoured to be one of the 3 to receive a present from him, it's a Koala soft toy and mine is the biggest among the 3. Thanks alot buddy.

Could have join them for a little longer if not for my early lecture the next day. Damn, they still on school vacation.

Going to rush my Princples of Management tutorial now. tata.
Woah, sister actually offered to pay up the excess amount for my Powerbook. Sisters rocks! I still feel kinda bad taking from her, oh well.

Meet up with Meiling and Ronald at night to show her my laptop. She's quite keen to get mine, but the final decision still lies with her financial controller. I did up a mini proposal for her, which make the both of them laughing their heads off. Hey, can't blame me for being a Business student right? *grin*

A rather short entry for today, gonna rush to get my Legal Studies tutorial done. tata.

Decaying moral values?

I can't believe anyone could expose his own pet to such cruelty. I surfed through this forum, this kind fella found an abandoned Jack Russell wondering into his school. From the photos he posted, I can assure you it's in a battered state, bacterial and fungal infected with his left ear punctured with a 20 cents sized hole. What has the world come to? Has the advancement of our society leads to disintegration of our moral values?

Decided not to post the pictures, it's plain horrifying looking at the hole in the ear.

Been told I will be getting the Powerbook in 2-3 weeks after I settle the paperwork. Meanwhile, my desk will look a little plain without my Fujitsu laptop.

Tutorials going to start next week, better get everything done by this tomorrow. Sigh.

June 26, 2004

Alright, I got the in principle agreement with sister on my purchase of a Powerbook. I'm surprise she agree readily.

Went to school in the afternoon just for that one hour lecture. My friend joined me for lecture even though he doesn't belong to my course. Couldn't skip this IT subject like what I done for the past year, pretty hard to comprehend.

Went over to Apple booth again. The sales people there actually recognise me, been there for the past few days. Bought along my Fujitsu laptop to compare the size, it's either the Powerbook 12" which is almost the same size as my Fujitsu or the 15" Powerbook with a wide screen, fits for viewing DVD.

Going to continue my research on Powerbook, enjoy the photos I took from Apple website.

June 25, 2004

Went for my first E Business Management, it's quite refreshing from the previous lectures I attended, Mary-Thomas is proactive while lecturing, hidden jokes in her lecture which you must be fast to catch it. From all the lectures, ORDB and Managerial Accounting was the least exciting.

I not sure what's going on, courses' portal stated no APEL for first week, while the lecturer told us there is, when I reach the room, a big white notice informing us there is no APEL.

Nevertheless, I am still able to waste the 2 hours before my next lecture. Went to the Apple booth to have a chat with the sales people and have a feel at both the iBook and Powerbook. Nadia bought up a good point, am I going for the look or the functions. Both the iBook and Powerbook ooze with style, function wise, I'm still trying to get use to the presence of the one clicker scroll pad. All Intel + Windows (Wintel) laptops comes with both the left and right mouse buttons with the scroller. On the other hand, Apple comes with only the left button and no scroller. Gosh, I hate making decision.

Legal Aspect of IT was another interesting subject, I'm quite keen on legal matters, if the interest is there, I suppose it won't be that hard to have a firm grip on the subject. Not to mention that I can always borrow my sister's Law books.

Another tutorial canceled, went to the nearby mall to catch Harry Potter alone. It's great but the plot develop too quicky. The new Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) just doesn't have the style as the former, the way he speaks is just plain discomfortable.

Joined Ronald, Meiling and Regina for dinner. Hey, it's the first night outing with Regina, considering the fact that she always reach home before dusk. Have quite a feast.

Tomorrow will be a short day, a hour lecture before school ends.

June 24, 2004

a period of rhapsody

New class, new faces, old process - friend making. I detest having a new class evey semseter, it goes the same for this semseter. Friends are almost non existence. I'm glad the ORDB tutor did not force us to have that ice breaking session, it pretty embarrassing to tell the whole class what you are good at.

Learning SQL was fun even though it's my first time touching this. I felt a little dumb at my clumsiness in typing up the commands. Being used to double quoting, almost all my commands got rejected for not using single quote.

While waiting for my ORDB lecture to get started, headed to the Financial Information Computer Laboratory to do research. It's pretty fun looking at people on printing tasks, walking back and forth from their terminial to the laser printer. It's almost like a mime, with my iPod humming my favourite tune and looking at their body expressions.

It's gonna be hell of a long day tomorrow, guess I will bring my laptop along.

June 22, 2004

post vacation syndrome

I guess I'm just not use to getting up early after two months of school vacation. I get tired easily in the afternoon. Doesn't really help when you are having morning lectures and tutorials daily.

Will be learning SQL this semseter, called up sister for reference books, she assured me it's easy and I should be able to cope with it. I suppose I can always call her up if I need any help since she's proficience in database management.

What have I been doing whole day long? Searching for a Mac program that will do querying and maintaining Oracle SQL database. I'm still trying to find a reason to get an Apple Powerbook.

A long full day tomorrow, what a drag.

June 21, 2004

Initial outlook

Logged on to my school portal and downloaded a few slides of Object Relational Database. My first impression, fwah, this sucks. Theorized Busines Statistics literally. There's no project too. Will borrow reference books from sister to guide me through.

Could hardly pay any attention to the 2 hours of Principles of Management lecture. It's BIT's tradition for noisy lectures, no doubt, this one too. At the end of the day, I got a little dizzy with the hot weather and the lack of sleep the night before.

After much pondering, I decided to withhold from getting the Apple Powerbook. Yes, it's excellent and get work done efficiently. However, from the Object Relational Database slides and after I spoke to the tutor for the subject, I got to know that we will be touching on SQL. SQL in Oracle environment, interesting. Yeah, Macintosh do support SQL, but it will be a different program from Windows.

Oh well, did I mention the school promotion for the Powerbook was attractive? Never mind, my Fujitsu is an excellent workhorse as well.

Didn't get to meet my new tutorial mates today, no tutorials/labs for the first week, except for Object Relational Database, so it will be wednesday.

Guess I will try to get my Principles of Management tutorial done before I try to sleep.
It's Father's Day! Mom's birthday too. Sisters came today, to pass the presents, Mom got a birthday cake from Dad and a Italy Furla leather carrying bag from my sisters. An Osim Massenger for Dad. Did some catching up while we enjoy the lovely cake.

Sisters going overseas again. One is going over to Philippines to oversees her company's operations while the other going to Hong Kong. Gee, do they suffer from jetlag from all the traveling?

Joined Meiling and Ronald for dinner even though I had mine eariler on. Something terrible happened, Meiling replaced her cellphone. It was only when each of us reach home when she discovered the missing cellphone. Nothing we can do now, will just wait for morning before we make a call to Long John Silver.

School starts officially now, it's past 12. Two hours of marketing lecture, sigh. Going to sleep in a couple of minutes, got to wake up early and join Jess and group for breakfast, that is, if they can wake up.

Hey Serena, Happy birthday! Didn't know you share the same birthday as my mom. :)

June 20, 2004

Bored? Shop.

Did some shopping today. Headed to Sim Lim Square to check on the prices of computer parts, as well as to return some stuff to that jerk. Saw this game, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, kinda interesting though I have outgrew from such games.

From there, I walked to a nearby shopping mall - Parco Bugis. Bought a few clothings, a new pair of jeans and a cream white Billabong shirt. I must say, sometimes, it's better to be alone. It's a totally different experience when you shop alone, walk at your own pace, skipping uninteresting stuff, etc. Today isn't my first, also watched a few movies alone. Ended my shopping spree after dinner at Long John. Will be back next monday to collect my tailored jeans.

Last day before school starts, my pencil case, folio and foolscap is still missing. Never mind, it's still early, just 2 hours of marketing lecture on monday before calling it a day.

I dread going to school, sigh, the thought of waking up early. Maybe I will get dad to drives me to school.

Looking forward to tomorrow, mom's birthday and Father's day. What a coincidence. Dad got mom a birthday cake, while my sisters bought dad a present. Suppose to be shared with my mom.

Now going to get my work done before tucking in.

June 18, 2004

The Prelude

Been at home for the whole day, I don't want to go into details why am I stuck at home on a fine friday afternoon.

The official timetable was out, finally. No different from the unoffical one which I got my hands on. Sharon have the pleasure to introduce my new classmates to me. Thank you very much. I am so looking forward to my new class and my classmates.

Almost everyday is a morning session, gee, after all the late nights, I wonder can my biological clock adjusts itself.

I am looking forward to a game of badminton with my pals over at school, not to mention my 3 times a week jog.

Finally watched Win A Date With Tad Hamilton. From my personal point of view, the turn of events were too sudden, too fast for me to adjust to the climax. Overall, it's still acceptable, rating it at above average.

Was in a mood to revamp the whole blog, not changing the whole template of course, just a little minor change here and there. I'm going all Australia, used the picture from the Australia trip and the oh-so-familiar music, it's used in the advertisement for Australian Tourist Commission. A single by Delta Goodrem.

Gonna get my biological clock back in good shape by sleeping early tonight (it's morning actually). Got a whole load of shopping to do in the afternoon, jeans, shirts, etc. Also, to return that jerk his stuff, my, he will be surprise to see me.

Listening to:

Dido
Life for Rent
Now I going to make myself very clear.

let's just name this guy as "X".

First things first, I am not upset that he's not able to make it. I'm upset that he choose to notify me of his appointment at the very last minute. He know about his appointment much earlier before I called. He got all the time in the world to notify me, but when did he tell me about it? When I called to confirm with him.

In an argument, you can either be a gentleman and apologize for being in the wrong or be a bastard and start cursing me in vulgarities. Well, X choose the latter and certainly have fun in cursing me. It make you look so silly when people don't understand profound and sarcastic statement.

Someone suggested watching without those who cannot make it and meet them later (for dinner?). Absolutely no for me. This outing is planned for everyone in mind, if you can't make it, I rather not watch it. But come to think of it, it will be cool to watch the movie without that vulgarities-spouting guy.

Oh, did I mention that the vulgarities-spouting guy prefer to watch some low budget hokkien themed movie rather than Harry Potter, a movie which he thought is suitable for kids?

I will just stop here.

June 17, 2004

freaking inconsiderate people

Great. After all the planning for the outing, some people just refuse to learn, but inform me of their last minute appointment at the very last minute.

I won't blow up if they could not make it but inform me in advance. Now, when it's less than 24 hours to the outing and only after you make a call to them, they tell you about their appointment tomorrow, this is absurd.

This is a gross lack of consideration. After a delay of 2 weeks with the same problem, I thought it might work for once with my constant reminder. How can I account for those who promised me even when they are sick or canceled their personal appointment for this outing?

I should just watch the movie with my other friend instead of holding on to this false hope.

Guess what? I will just catch Harry Potter alone tomorrow. No advance planning, no nothing, no shit.

June 16, 2004

Escaped from the daily instant fare during lunch, brother-in-law came today with lunch for me.

Going for a movie marathon, consisting of Spiderman and Spiderman 2, early next month with the gang. Alan coming along too.

That's all for today, going to watch Win A Date With Tad Hamilton now. :)
Don't really want to type what's going about today. Thanks to Alan for being a great friend for offering to catch Harry Potter with me even though he watched. Couldn't accept his offer since my sister coming by in the afternoon to pass the stuff she bought from Hong Kong.

Second, thanks to Meiling for her rice dumplings. Didn't really have a chance to try it as I'm rather full now.

It's great to have friends around you, although I am much a loner most of the time.

I hope this friday outing will not be a disappointment.

Later.

June 14, 2004

The Glutinous Rice Dumplings scandal

One upon a time, there's 2 best friends, Rusell and Melissa (Names have been changed). One fine day, Melissa make Rusell to promise her that he will help her to make rice dumplings. Rusell, taking it with a light heart, promised her.

So when the day come, Rusell decided to go about his daily life instead of helping her. Melissa, annoyed, decided to give hell to anyone closely related to him. Knowing that Ben is a close friend of Rusell, Melissa decided to ask him to help her, knowing that should Ben help her, Rusell will also come along.

To her dismay, Ben decided to go on a trip with Rusell instead of helping her. Ben is the type of person which does not mind going the extra mile to help a friend, but not bend to unreasonable request.

Melissa, frustrated at the both of them, decided to resort using underhand means, psychological assult - Rusell does not enjoy being called a liar behind his back.

Clearly, Rusell was disturbed by the name calling. He decided to help her in the end even though it was already past 10.

So in the end, he make a trip to her house without telling Ben about it.

What happened to Ben in the end? He took a hot shower and enjoy the pleasant music from his computer.

Headed to City Hall with Ronald today. Nothin' much, window shopping before having dinner at Pasta Mania. Yeah, finally got a new earphones for my iPod, suppose to block out external noise producing a pollution-free sound from the earphones. Also bought a replacement adapter for my iRiver discman.

The movie outing has been canceled, again. I'm not going to talk about this, its hard being an organizer when everyone starts telling you of a sudden appointment. No offence to the people concern reading this, but I hope you guys do understand my position.

Time to test my earphones and for the burn in period. later.
Spent the whole of today in front of my computer, 3 hours to watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone recorded broadcast from American Broadcasting Company (ABC). The rest was spent on game. I suppose it's better to complete my game before school starts, the next time I touch my desktop/laptop will be for school work or researching on material. Dull lifestyle.

No more delay, it's either Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban this week or never. If my friends couldn't make it, I suppose it's adios for them.

Oh well, time to tuck in. *yawn*

Here's the last part of the photos. Part 3, enjoy.

June 13, 2004

Went Sim Lim Square today, been awhile since I been there, most of the time I just keep track of the prices through the pricelists available online. Went there not without a purpose of course, looking for a new casing to replace my obsoleted one at home. Keen to build a server from the old casing and some of the parts available.

Met Ronald over there, there he goes again, telling me about the sales today. Got myself a iPod rubber casing, a little thick to my liking, but I needed something to protect it from my fingerprint marking.

Bought a few rice dumplings from 四马路 for my family, mainly, 五香 and 大肉. There's a mini celebration going on over there, in preparation for Duan Wu Jie.

Last week before school starts, gonna enjoy before the stressful life of school starts. Going out for movie and dinner with this friend from my secondary school. Come to think of it, how I got to know her was pretty amusing. At first, I have no idea who she is, except that she's a prefect. It just so happen that we will always meet, no matter which part of the school.

That's all. Be uploading the 2nd picture in a few hours. Do check it up.

June 12, 2004

Freaked out

Freaked out totally. My friend asking me for my dad's car plate number and I'm not keen to reveal. I got a phobia for revealing intimate details about myself and my family. Now if she calls again, I will just reject straight at her face, making myself clear.

Fwah, just love my 1.5Mbps connection. Downloaded a 1GB file at less than 5 hours, if it was for my previous connection, it will take more than a day.

Time to take a rest, later.

*Update*
Couldn't get to sleep, decided to touch up the photos. Here's part one of the Victoria Concert Hall outing. Enjoy.

June 11, 2004

Thought I will just go window shopping this afternoon, but on such a typical fine day, my laziness got the better of me, spending the afternoon rotting at home. I just hope I get a few decent clothings and a new earphones for my iPod before school starts.

Went over to sister's place to pass her the digital camera for her tomorrow Hong Kong trip. The greedy little brother will just stay in Singapore and wait for the goodies she's bringing back.

Quite looking forward to tomorrow afternoon, my 1500kbps internet will be ready. I can hardly imagine downloading anime and songs at such speed. It's almost on par with cable.

Forgotten about the photos I took with the girls and Mike on monday. Will just wait till next week for the publishing.

June 10, 2004

Social Etiquette for you and me

Thought I will just share an interesting news article today. It's taken from The Straits Times.

Convent girls go wild by By Tan Shzr Ee

Some Katong Convent schoolgirls giggled so much at the sight of the skimpy leotards of the dancers, they were scolded into silence by an angry audience member.

For full article, refer here

How ironical, I attended a school concert at the Victoria Concert Hall, which is just next to the Victoria Theatre.

It's quite a disgrace to see a world class performance brought to a new low level by students who don't appreciate arts. I say those girls from Katong Convent deserve it. They are the lot that shame the reputation of their school, mind you, it's published in a leading newspaper.

So now those girls are making a big deal about it. She said, bursting into tears: 'He called me an a**hole to my face. I've never been called an a**hole to my face before.' If you have just shut your mouth, no one will abuse you verbally.

Personally, I hold no respect for people who don't practice social etiquette. Watching a movie here, it's hardly impossible to have cellphone ringing in the middle of the movie. Oh, did I mention the screen flashing through reminder for movie-goers to switch off or place their cellphone in silent mode?

One more week till school starts. I suppose it's back to work again.

June 09, 2004

Give me iTiunes, anytime.

It's time for me to promote iTunes. Where can you get a audio management software with built-in player, integrated with iPod and not to mention, radio function? iTunes of course! It works with both Mac and Windows, pretty cool eh?

Hurted my fingers while giving the air conditioner an overhual. Will apply tea tree oil on it before I tuck in later.

Went Geylang with Meiling, Ronald and Xian Zhi for a little durian outing. If you are wondering what in the world is a durian, it's a green spiky hard shell fruit with pungent yellowish creamy flesh. Those girls were staring at us while we devour the fruit. I guess they find it pretty amusing to stare at us devouring it slowly.

Dad fetched me after all 3 of them left. Actually I intend to ask dad to give them a ride home but since their bus was here, I just bid them farewell.

Listening to Jazz from Califorina State University currently. Go download iTunes. :p

June 08, 2004

Switch off your cellphone, damn it

Had a great day today. Headed to Suntec to meet Wan Cheng, Chris and Mike for dinner before the concert. It's great going out with them. Had dinner over at Pizza Hut, we had lots of laughter over dinner, oh yeah, that reminds me that, never ever have dinner at Pizza Hut. The serving was pathetic.

Took a walk around Suntec before we embark on a long walk to Victoria Concert Hall. We took a few photos at Esplanade. Mike was a little shy posting together with a metal lion statue *grin*

Over at Victoria Concert Hall, saw a few familiar faces, though I don't really know their names. Blame me on my anti-social nature during my secondary school days. I hardly talk to anyone outside my level of interaction. Both Wan Cheng and Chris got the 1st level seat, which I brand it as "low class seating". Thanks to Adeline, Mike and I got the circle seats, or rather, the "high class seating". "Rotten Flower" was sitted beside us, she was a ex choir member, the nickname was given to her with compliment from Kenny and I. :p

The performance was superb! Except for minor technical glitch. I must admit I was bias for applauding loudly for choir compared to concert band. Parted with Mike after the concert and joined Wan Cheng and her group of girlfriends. We were searching for food at City Hall until we decided to walk to Lao Pa Sa. I guess they sort of regretted following my decision to walk instead of taking a train down, it wa pretty much of a interesting walk though, chatting and stuff.

Shared a cab home with X (Shanny?) and Y (I have poor memory for names) while Wan Cheng took a cab home. They offered to split the cost, but blame it on my gentleman nature (yeah?), I rejected them coolly. It was fun knowing the both of them. :)

I'll be posting the photos tomorrow, *yawn* tired now.

June 07, 2004

Sisters back as usual. Sister (the one which owns the camera) reimbursed me for the Compact Flash memory I bought for the camera. I think it's kinda weird mentioning my sisters without their proper names, but don't feel comfortable revealing their names through my blog. Oh well, any suggestion? Anyway, the other sister of mine traveling to Hong Kong this friday, more goodies for me. Isn't it great to have sisters? *grin*

Headed to Singapore Expo for the PC Show again. Yeah, I think I'm nuts, my third visit this time round. Didn't get much, although I was quite tempted to get Toshiba Secure Digital 128MB for my Palm. The force is strong in me to resist the Dark Side. Helped Ronald to get a new keyboard, a black and silver Compaq keyboard.

Met Ronald and went his house to fix his internet problem. Couldn't help him much, quite helpless without my troubleshooting equipment. Had dinner/supper with both Meiling and Ronald at Geylang, beef kway teow, fried rice, xiao long bao, yu tiao and bean curd juice... ahh..it's just go on and on and on...

Dad came and fetch us home since it was way after 12. A little guilty for troubling him, but it will be over when I get my driving licence :)

June 06, 2004

Totally Exhausted

Headed back to my alma mater to collect the concert tix from Adeline. On the way, found out that I don't have enough to pay her, so took a detour to the nearest ATM to withdraw. My slippers got punctured by a small rock, goodness.

Wasted an hour searching the whole of Bedok Central for mom's medicine. Here's the exciting part, I went Singapore Expo again! What else, but the PC Show. Queued hald an hour or so to get Kingston Thumb Drive (USB2.0 256MB) and Kingston CompactFlash 256MB for my digital camera. Quite competitive priced, it's a waste not to grab one. :p

Searched the whole of the PC show just for printers' price for meiling. I thought she was for real until she said, "oh, I will ask my aunt and think about it". #$%#%, another 30min wasted.

Signed up for 1500kbps internet plan. Pretty much of a great deal, a free printer (scan/print/fax), ethernet modem and cordless keyboard/mouse. Looking forward to the speed increase next week.

I think I'm crazy, I going again tomorrow. :p

Looking forward to Monday concert, be meeting Mike, Wan Cheng and Chris for dinner before the concert.

June 04, 2004

Now if I only know this job offer sooner. It's pretty a high sum considering it's a part time. $75 - $125 per day for 2 months. I simply love the job scope, home visit to fix wireless network, hell, this is easy money. The school vacation coming to an end in 2 weeks time, damn.

Headed down to Singapore Expo for the PC Show. Almost an hour journey from my house, decided not to take the train, lazy to get up from the bus, it's a direct bus afterall. Fwah, the sight of mp3 players, laptops and cameras simply amazes a geek like me. Wanted to upgrade to ADSL 1500kbps internet plan, but decided to come again the next day since the free 3-in-1 printer is kinda bulky for me to carry home. Giving the free ethernet modem to my brother-in-law and selling the printer away.

Shouldn't have told my friend I am selling the free printer away. Initally, I thought of getting rid of the 3-in-1 printer through the local auction site. Somehow, my friend know that I intend to sell it off and she told me of her interest to get the printer from me. Which I rather not. Not that I trying to earn a fast buck, but I will probably sell it at way below cost to a friend. Much easier to deal with a complete stranger from the internet. Mom will probably kill me if I tell her I am selling it to my friend. She will simply ask me to give it to her. *speechless*

Went Parkway Parade while waiting for Ronald and Meiling for dinner. A book get my attention, The Metrosexual Guide to Style. It has all the guide and tips to social grace, dressing well, etc. Thinking about the amount of money I going to spend for the month of June, I decided to wait a month more before getting this.

Had dinner with Roanld and Meiling over at Old Airport Road. Told them about my plan this October on a trip down to Genting and KL. They agreed, gonna start planning soon. Dad gave me a ride home since it's way after 12.

Going to take a rest, tata.

June 03, 2004

Didn't do much today, slept through the afternoon before watching Band of Brothers, 2 more episodes before completing.

Most probably going down to Expo for the IT Fair, might get a DVD Rewriter for backing up my movies and animes.

Yeah! Got selected to be a Super Friend of Friendster. Some sort of beta tester thingy.

Going back to dreamland once again.

June 01, 2004

Ouch! That Hurts!

Hurt myself while shaving today, bleed a little. Shaving is such a chore.

Do you clean up after having your meal at fast food restaurants?

No, I don't. I did tried a few years back clearing my tray after meal at McDonald but my friends look at me in disgust. Seems like hardly anyone bother, including me. I heard from my friends from Japan and Australia, people do clear up after their meal, I felt bad deep inside. This is something I must learn to cultivate.

Accompanied dad to the temple to pay respect to my grandparents, today was their death anniversary. I still hold vivid images of them, though I am regretted not learning well my Hainanese root from them. Along the way to pick mom from Orchard, we passed by this private estate, Bedok South, I suppose. It's quite a nice and quiet place to settle in, really love the sight of the houses there, just like a small little town.

Don't think I'll be joining them tomorrow for Zouk Mambo Night. This week isn't the right time for pubbing. Maybe I'll persuade my parents to go for a shopping spree in the afternoon.
